Just broke out the Rollei 2.8 F

Been quite a while since I last shot the Rollei. Had it tuned up a few years ago, but just have not had the time to put some rolls through it. Well I finally got the bug again and its been liberating! As I right I have two rolls of 120 going in the old Jobo! Only had some Rodinal on hand to develop in but it is what it is. Love that feeling when you first open the tank and get to look at those beautiful 120 6x6 negs.

Congrats on using the Rollei. I'm a huge fan of them myself, having a pair of 2.8Es and a Tele. It's a camera you really can't go wrong with. You'll have to post some of your images to share!

This was my first 120 camera after many years away from film. Picked up in the early 90's for $300. Did not realize what a deal I got on the 2.8F till doing research on it about 1999. Shot with it many years before having it serviced. Finally decided it was deserving of a new bright Maxwell focus screen and a tune up by one of the last Rollei techs in the business.

I bought a 2.8F Planar in the 1980's from teh Chairman of Barking Photographic Society when i was President -- he had got fr another bloke who never used it much -- well it was £ 250 and on testing found the winder was faulty and all pics were unsharp so seller told me to get it fixed -- i took it to the Franke& Heideke Service Dept. In London and they said the focus screen was in upside down and serviced it all for £ 50 -- so I got it for £ 200 after the 50 quid had been deducted -- i did a lot of Weddings when I was working -- now use kit with my other 'Classic cameras' for 'Club' pictures -- but I have done a YouTube VIDEO on my 4 Rolleis which you can see here :

That one is Velvia 50

The camera is a Rolleiflex Automat with Tessar lens.

Really liked your video! Love my Rollei 2.8 F, have many accessories, my favorite is flash bulb attachment. Since I have thousands of flash bulbs from years of collecting not an issue shooting with them. Awesome light source even today!

2.8f was my first and still going rolleiflex tlr. Bought as used at Willoughby camera store branch on 48th st. Was bought new by original owner only a few weeks before and perhaps had three rolls of film put through at most. Included all accessories original owner bought. Price was low. This was around 1970. These cameras just go on and on. Once lusted for wide and tele mutars but now appreciate the simplicity of a single lens. Of the accessories: sometimes use the pistol grip with prism finder and the tripod adapter. Use filters also. The 2.8f is the crown jewel of rollei.
