Just bought my first Hasselblad....how did I fair?

Just purchased for $500 on Ebay with a 30 day guarantee. Roughly know the market and feel like this is a good deal but always enjoy your opinions.

a 150 wouldn't be my first choice for a first lens, more like an 80 for a normal, but what the heck. sounds like a good price if it all works ok.

An 80 certainly has its uses, but, if I had to choose between giving up my 80 or the 150, the 80 would be history. Looks like a nice rig, enjoy.

Really appreciate the feedback. Slowly making the transition to film from a life of digital. Started with the Kodak A3, then some Polaroids and now hopefully settling with this Hasselblad for a good while. Glad to have all of your experienced input.

I see you have a 9V adapter with it. I'd recommend getting a 2CRP/2CR5 adapter, they are a bit more expensive (both the batteries and adapters) but the batteries last much longer as they are made for heavy load camera use and the adapter/battery is housed in one slot instead of having the dangling wires from one slot to the other.

IF you get a polaroid back for it, bear in mind that not all Polaroid backs will fit, thanks to the motor drive. Get a copy of Ernst Wildi's Hasselblad Manual to figure out which backs go with which cameras. It's also very helpful for identifying odd accessories and how to use them, and troubleshooting basic problems with your gear.

A C lens will mean having to buy two sets of filters B50 and B60. B50 are getting harder to find so stick with the CF or newer lenses and the B60 filters.

Or you can get a B50 to 55, 58 or 62mm adapter ring. It doesn't solve the multiple size issue but it does let you use filters you probably already have or at least are a LOT cheaper than B50 sizes and a lot easier to find. And there's even a B50 to B60 step-up ring. When I was shooting Hasselblad stuff, I got a B60-67mm filter adapter and was able to share all my filters with my large format lenses, most of which took 67mm filters.

As a beginner I wouldn´t have bought a auto-winder Hasselblad, but, what the heck?... that´s because in my country is really hard to find spare parts for old cameras. As well as 150 wouldn´t be my choice as a one-lens-kit, but, again, what the heck?... it is GREAT for portraits!

I think you got a wonderful kit for a fair price.

Make sure you get the charger for it as when the batteries die it's a paper weight. I still have my EL/M that I used with 70mm film mostly but now it does duty with 220.
