Alex is a supreme photographer with some unique idea and his wet plates are beautiful.
Alex often post on the Large Format forum where you can find some of his work.

Very interesting photos. All the more impressive since they are from wet-plates. Thanks for posting them.

Seems like a perfect marriage of an old technology and art. A fine example of what is missing from the exhumation of alternative process technique normally applied only to mundane subjects.

Alex is one of my favourite photographers. The things he makes would look just as wonderful in any sort of process, I think. He has the eye.

My favorite is the one with the boar... don' tknow why - it is stunning - and fun...

My least favorite is the last one of his daughter, and the only reason for this is : why, why not place her hands/fingers as a violinist would?... as an old musician it takes all the attention....

BUT Alex is great!!

(So is Greg Tuffin from Australia!!)

Thanks everyone for your nice comments. really appreciated.

Emil, you are right about the fingers. We did our best.
I got more comments on that detail. Me and neither my daughter ever touchedat a violin before.
But for me that wasn't the important part. who plays the violin with a saw....;
