Junk broken Leica M3 WTB.

Specifically want rangefinder module... (can be "dark" or "blacked out")

PM me if you have something. This isn't going to be a $100+ transaction.

Yes JUNK, broken, taped together, glued, run over by a truck or even submerged in the Mississippi, and mistaken for a Nikonos.

I am just interested in one part in the end.

I am sure there are more than a few Basket case M3's that a pawn shop/ camera show dude wouldn't bother with giving a c-note for... I am willing to and it doesn't have to be a whole camera. You can keep the top and bottom plates and the take-up spool

So an M3 for less than 100$?

I said JUNK Broken Taped glued run over by a truck or even submerged in the Mississippi... I am just interested in one part in the end.

********the rear half of the prism doublet, (prism with notch cut in it) ***************
**************or most of the rangefinder unit is what I seek *********************

I just asked, and I am the market and said what I will pay, ie: what it is worth to me.

I am sure there are more than a few Basket case M3's that a pawn shop/ camera show dude wouldn't bother with giving a c-note for... I am willing to and it doesn't have to be a whole camera.

DAG has spare parts for sale, and his web site only shows about 5 percent of his stock. Why not ask him?

buying a camera of the sort you describe runs the risk of the part you want being damaged.

Thanks I'll call DAG... cheers..

--- I know the risks, and I would simply ask for a photo of said part/area of part to confirm---
I rebuilt a Mazda rotary engine from mail-order junk yard parts... I do this ... it's an affliction I have to not do things the easy way...

Doing things the easy way all the time gets boring.

Good luck on the project, let us know how it works out.
