Modern papers have good pre-hardened emulsions so the high temperature will not present a problem. I normally use warm toned developers at at a little over 37 centigrade, 100 F, to keep extended dev times to a minimum and acquire greater warmth.

In the case of this dev its about keeping times short to prevent aerial oxidation of the Pyrocatechin, the oxidised dev can stain the paper base/emulsion.
