Both the lith and the alt print exchange have been dead for a few years. I was thinking about organizing a new lith print exchange, but I am also very interested in alt printing. I have posted the question already in the lith exchange forum, but I would like to ask the alt. print exchange community directly: Would anybody be interested in a joining alt & lith print exchange?
If you are interested, what kind of alt. prints would you be interested in contributing? I´m asking as everybody should have an idea what they can expect to receive if they sign up for an exchange.
Note: I have not marked this thread as analogue or digital or hybrid, as my understanding of an "Alt. Print" is a analogue print, not an inkjet print. I would welcome a hybrid workflow, in this sense, I selected "Workflow does not apply".
I’d certainly be interested, probably a gum, or gum over cyano. Personally I’d rather keep alt and lith separate exchanges, but happy to go with whatever.
Keen as mustard.
I haven't done any lith as of yet, but am interested, dont have any preference.
I do Vandyke Browns, sometimes Cyanotype prints, 8x10 to 14x17, use only camera negatives for contact prints, mostly pinhole.
BTW would this be run like the blind print exchange, where you send to just one person, or would it require multiple destinations?
May be too expensive for me to send to multiple international destinations.
Appreciate the offer to organise again, Bernd. I'm unlikely to be printing lith/alt in the near future, but who knows if platinum and palladium prices crash sometime soon!
I'm interested, but it's going to depend on timing and work... I'll sign up if I'm sure I can find time ( and sunshine! ) to make a good print. From me it would be a salt print, probably made from a calotype negative.
Please feel free to comment your ideas & suggestions there.
I´d suggest aligning the Lith & Alt Print Exchange with the BPX, so I would call for sign-up starting Feb. 1st. March / April for sending, May recess / analysis / adjustment if necesarry.
