"The artist's intensely considered photographs of London are a result of finding the "point of stillness" that is "absolutely and completely right" for each scene"

John Riddy (born 1959) is a British photographer who came to the fore after his solo exhibition at Camden Arts Centre in 2000.

I saw Riddy's work at an exhibition in a local museum a couple of years ago. I was pretty much blown off my feet. Sometimes the work of a photographer just feels so...familiar. And executed to absolute perfection, too.

My girlfriend gave me this one for my birthday recently. It's gorgeous...
(Coincidentally, she found Riddy's photography completely boring and uninteresting. I can only pray for her soul.)

A different approach than I have seen elsewhere.
