I am trying to figure out a cheaper way of getting a bunch of 35mm rolls done (5-10 at a time) with a CPA2.

Does anyone know if a reel from the 2000 system (way back in time, not the 2509 etc) fits into a Jobo 1000 drum (actually it is a 4312 RO tank).

Or if the 1500 reels are interchangeable with the 1000/2000 ones?

I can put 4 135 reels in my Jobo 1540.

Thanks, AgX - it answered some of my questions - very good!

I was thinking of the inner diameter of the reels, if it is the same throughout the versions - I wasn't clear enough in my original post about that.

It struck me while loading the 1000 reels that they operated differently compared to the Paterson ball bearing ones, but it was easy to adjust my modus operandi.

Paterson reels have a true (mechanical) ratchet mechanism. With the Jobo ones one has to improvise on this by thunmb action.

(Very old Jobo reels though had the recess at only one flange, and I do not understand the idea behind that...)

Improvisation, indeed! I was a bit worried fumbling about in the darkroom bag for a while, but as any stalwart explorer I adjusted to the circumstances. I think mine are the more advanced two-recess version.
