Can I use a JOBO print drum to process 4x5 negatives rather than the Expert drum intended for 4x5 negatives?

Any advice is welcome.

Thanks,
Martin

If you do a search on JOBO print drum and film development, you'll find several threads dealing with this.

Since I have a film drum and the appropriate spiral I do my 4x5" in that. But all larger sizes I do in print drums - even 5x7" and 8x10" slides.

Hmm - I have a Jobo 2820 test print drum. I normally use it with a 2509N sheet film reel. I have tried using it a few times by itself when I only had a sheet or two to process. The problem I have run into is that often the film seems to pop out of the grooves - I think this is because film is much stiffer than paper.
