Hello,
I have Jobo CPE processor from the late 70's (red plastic, separate chemistry tempering box - manual sets March of 1977 as reference point) with 4531 drum for developing color and bigger b&w prints (24x30). Finding processing paper in drums a hassle and the one included beeing in very poor condition , I've bought small Nova processor some time ago. Now, with it filling Jobo role perfectly, I am cosidering using CPE for rotary film processing. However, due to processor age, there is little to no information if any of more modern tanks (1500 and 2500 series) will fit.
What I know:
- Jobo produced Ro-Tank series (UniPro, Uni Amateur) intended for rotary developing in their early processors, and adapters to use 1000- and 2000- series tanks;
- Semi-modern Jobodrum 2830 will not fit due to longer lid (drum itself is similar to or same as Multitank 6 as far as I know).
What I don't know:
- whether 1500 series tanks will with without adding plastic "fin" (as was the case with older tanks);
- if any of the 2500 series tanks will be long enough to touch the rollers and short enough to fit water compartment.
I am not adamant about rotary developing - I just don't want to sell CPE before trying to use it in one of its intended purposes.
Sorry for my poor English - I haven't had any chances to use it for a long time so I am "a little" rusty.
