JOBO Lift question

I have recently purchased a Jobo CPE2 processor. It was not expensive but came without a lift. I understand the benefits of the lift and was thinking of perhaps getting one separately, I just wonder, are the lifts for CPEs (much) different from lifts for CPP processors or could these be interchanged or adopted?

I believe the lifts are interchangeable, but there are differences between earlier and later production.

Okay, I stand corrected. I had inferred otherwise from the catlabs link in my post above. Looking more closely, I see that there are two different part numbers listed...

The motor shafts on the CPE2 and CPE2+ are different. You need to make sure you have the right drive cog for the shaft. And you do need a lift intended for the CPE2 series.

The correct drive cog used to be available, making it possible to use a lift sold for a CPE2+ on a CPE2, I recall I had to order one when I bought a lift for mine off ebay several years back. But, I have no idea of the cog and associated parts are still available now. Catlabs would probably know.

The difference between the CPE's and the CPP's is that the CPP's are much larger, the CPP lift would not physically fit on a CPE and the way they mount on the top of the unit is different.
The two do look rather similar in pictures because the overall design and layout are similar, but they are very different in real life.

Some clarifications:
1. All cog drives for ALL Jobo processors are available (and in stock).

2. All Jobo lifts are the same. There are slight configuration differences between CPE/CPP lifts:
a. The transfer gear is different (available and in stock in both types)
b. The mounting system: CPA/CPP uses a bracket which is attached to the lift. The CPE uses a mounting base plate (the bracket removed and a locking screw installed instead), which is attached to the processor it self. Base plates are currently available and in stock (i think we are currently the only source for the CPE2 base plate).

3. Most importantly - ALL Jobo lifts are identical (except for the above mentioned differences). Same size, same hardware etc.

4. The lifts are interchangeable, proving the above items have been modified to the correct configuration.

I just purchased a used CPP2 to replace my aging CPE2+ (where the motor is starting to have trouble). Once I prove that the CPP2 works well, I may put the lift for sale. The CPE2+ itself, while in workable shape, needs "workarounds" e.g. the plastic divider no longer attaches to the unit in any manner, the temperature setting is off (although I have marked down where 20 and 38 degrees are) etc. so I do not think it's worth to sell the unit itself.

Anyway, watch the space in a week or two...

A failing CPE2+ motor usually means a non lubricated lift transfer gear. In any case these motors are available, and are cheap and easy to replace.
Adjusting the knob is also a fairly simple job.

In other words, they're different and not interchangeable until one replaces the transfer gear and exchanges the mounting bracket / base plate. Which is to say they're different and not interchangeable until made into something else than what they started out as.
