2521 tanks have a magnet base, 2523 tanks have a cog lid, both have a funnel on the under side of the lid that fits onto a center tube that holds the reels and forma a light trap.
28xx tanks have a cup on the under side of the lid and were for print processing.
The tank dimensions for the 25xx and 28xx are identical. The cup can be removed (careful prying) and a funnel snapped in in its place.
Hello.
Thanks to reply.
Well.. I tried that change (the cup Vs funnel) and I was not praying ehehehh.
Now I see it is not supposed to change every time I want to process film or paper right?
Maybe I'll try to find an upper cover with funnel and let it stays right there.
But the 2840 bottom part will work fine with two 2502 reels with the right center column and that upper cover with funnel right? To process more that 2 reels I was thinking to use the 2830 drum... Sounds good or I will mess everything?
I switched a 2840 to a 2500 series tank years ago. I do not switch between film and paper.
Lids show up on ebay . A 28xx lid will fit a 25xx tank; a 25xx lid will fit a 28xx tank. A 28xx tank will need a center tube added before you can use it for film. The tube comes in sections, get a base section and the number of extensions necessary to give the tank height needed.
