Hello everyone,

Can you please just confirm if the JOBO drum 2521 is the same of the bottom part of JOBO 2840 - which I think it's the size of 2820?

Can I adapt the bottom part of 2840 in order to use 2 2502 reels? I have the internal funnel and just need Central column (and the reels as well!)

Many thanks
Joao

2521 tanks have a magnet base, 2523 tanks have a cog lid, both have a funnel on the under side of the lid that fits onto a center tube that holds the reels and forma a light trap.
28xx tanks have a cup on the under side of the lid and were for print processing.
The tank dimensions for the 25xx and 28xx are identical. The cup can be removed (careful prying) and a funnel snapped in in its place.

Hello.
Thanks to reply.
Well.. I tried that change (the cup Vs funnel) and I was not praying ehehehh.
Now I see it is not supposed to change every time I want to process film or paper right?
Maybe I'll try to find an upper cover with funnel and let it stays right there.
But the 2840 bottom part will work fine with two 2502 reels with the right center column and that upper cover with funnel right? To process more that 2 reels I was thinking to use the 2830 drum... Sounds good or I will mess everything?

Many thanks
Joao

I have no idea if it makes any (economical) sense for you, but Jobo does sell spare parts (funnels and columns) and also new lids.

The instruction sheet that shipped with my 2521 tank(s): https://drive.google.com/file/d/1GINGsKPxscmh673KKTiIPsq61iucx_lc/view?usp=sharing
Its multi language.

I switched a 2840 to a 2500 series tank years ago. I do not switch between film and paper.
Lids show up on ebay . A 28xx lid will fit a 25xx tank; a 25xx lid will fit a 28xx tank. A 28xx tank will need a center tube added before you can use it for film. The tube comes in sections, get a base section and the number of extensions necessary to give the tank height needed.
