Jobo CPP2 missing part

Hi all,
This is my first post here!

I am trying to buy a Jobo CPP2 online from a local seller. He stated that it is discounted because it is - 1. missing lift arm (no big deal) and 2. missing a connecting piece between tank and motor

Seller provided nice pictures (attached)

I am new to these - having only used them a bit in college - and cannot identify what is missing

Anyone who has experience, please let me know what I will need to find to make this work again

Welcome to Photrio.

Mine was broken off. I never replaced it. Instead I lift the tank or drum by hand on the end of the drum.

You will also need the drive gear, which goes in the hole to the right of the drum clip and actually rotates the drum.

I don't see it in stock at CatLabs, but be sure to ask for it...

Good observation!

Jobo Pair of White Transfer Gears for Jobo Lift (#95200) | eBay

If there is no resistance, or if the gear is wobbling, remove and inspect it (replace and lubricate as needed). Making sure your transfer gears are in good shape and well lubricated will ensure a longer life span for your motor and lift.

You are also missing at least two screws that hold the assembly together. I used #4 wood screws. It makes a big difference to have all four screws in place if you switch tank sizes. If the assembly is loose it does not slide well from the top to bottom.

I actually have a (1) drive gear... I confess I didn't know what it was. It was just loose sitting in the tray.

Do I need two of them? I see that the one's linked on the catLABS ebay store is a pair

Kilgallb - thanks for the tip, I definitely have plenty of wood screws...

Is there a resource for all of these tiny details in the form of some mechanical schematics or perhaps a thorough manual pdf?

Another thought: Has anyone tried 3D printing these (expensive) jobo parts? They just seem like the perfect candidate!

You only need one to get started, provided it is in good condition. They do eventually wear out, so they are sold in pairs.

Be sure to put some lightweight grease on the shaft before inserting it into a well cleaned hole and snapping on the small gear to complete the installation.

There's a good deal of engineering knowledge in the Jobo machines. The transfer gears look like nylon ?? not really sure, you only need one set of the gears, there's a white lubricant, looks like a synthetic grease, that you use on the gear shaft. I wouldn't waste too much time trying to print these parts.
