I have never used this unit. Everything seems to work...... except

1. The fluids only come out of the lower tube.
2. The clip is missing to hold the developing tank tight against the machine. One side is ok.
3. I am assuming to change the fluid flow from the lower position to the up position for larger tanks I need to move the white pin. It won't budge.

What do I have to do to put in a new clip? I have one fortunately.
How do I get the fluids to go in the upper position?

It looked like there might be some plastic screws on the front top of the piece that tanks snap on to. I tried to turn them and nothing happened.

One other concern I have is that it seems the tanks are not light tight at the opening where the fluids go in and out. If I look into the hole I can see the reels.

You help will be very appreciated.

That looks a lot older than mine, based on the pictures, but if you are using the 1500 or 2500 series tanks, the upper port is plugged, and the tanks (cogs) attach over the lower port. The clip mounts below the port. You have to change the rollers for different sizes of tank. The 1500 series uses rollers on the extension arms, and the 2500 series need the rollers mounted directly to the bar on the lift support. This is based on my red CPE2+ with Lift.

If you see the reels when you look inside the top of the tank with the lid on, then either the center column is missing, or the lid does not have the funnel inside that inserts into the center column.

I got the thing to switch from lower to upper. I also found that the tank I was using had the interior funnel in backwards. the other tanks I have are correct.

So still wanting to know how to replace the missing clip that holds the dev tank snug against the drive unit.

So what's that?

At first glance I thought you had the newer version that used the orange plug. Did the link to the manual work for you? It shows the difference between the new and older lifts. It shows how to use the orange plug (but it is for the newer version).

Your's is the old style lift, doesn't use the red plug. Go to www.jobousa.com there is a bulletin in the manuals area, bulletin B 003 on how to replace the white clips and how to lubricate the transfer gears. Any troubles call Omer Hecht at Catlabs he is running a for profit business so don't expect too much time, he has everything to make your machine run great.
