So ive just finished my darkroom (retrofitted washroom) and i have a jobo c660 enlarger that i picked up of ebay for £40 the lens it has says GINO 75mm lens im printing from 35mm negatives is this lens suitable for that? Also dose anyone know it these are meant to be able to print 8x10 as even at the maximum height it can go on the post im left with it being an inch short of 8 x 10 at the top and bottom, as far as i can tell the post is original to the enlarger. can the lense affect this i know ive read where 50mm is ideal for 35mm enlarging. just incase the information helps when enlarger is set at its maximum height the distance from the lense to the baseboard is 27 inches. Ive got some old worktop there however was thinking if i used it to raise the post by fixing it in between the baseboard and the mounting bracket?

A 50mm lens will give you the magnification you need for 35mm but for smaller prints the 75mm will be fine. The C6600 uses a mixing box so no problems with matching condensers. The post length is the same as mine. I actually have a 40mm lens that I use for 35mm as well as a 75mm that I use for 6x6. The enlarger head will swing 90 degrees to the side so if you can fix your paper to a wall you can always enlarge sideways or you can rotate the post to project down onto the floor - BUT make sure you have something really heavy on the baseboard as a counterweight.
