Jobo black & white film development

Following the advice I got here and elsewhere I took the Ilford recommendation for HP5+ and XTOL which was 8 minutes at 20ºC for XTOL and 9 minutes at 20ºC for replenished XTOL, I used 9 minutes at 20ºC for replenished XTOL [100% time, not the 85% time that I used before] and adjusted for temperature for processing 4x5s in a Jobo 3010 Expert Drum and a Jobo CPP 2 and the negatives came out well. Thank you for your input.

Kind of late in this thread, but using a Phototherm instead of a Jobo gives me exactly the same results Steve. The published reduction is far too aggressive.



I start with the small tank time for any combination. If the negatives are a little too dense just print through. Its easier than too thin.
