Hi Guys, I've just bought a Jobo ATL2 plus and I'm completely new to this Jobo developing experience, but I saw the opportunity and I took it.:whistling:

Although it's still on it's way, it comes without any drum or tank and I've been struggling to understand if all Jobo's drums work with it (for instance will it work with a 4551 print drum?).

Here attached is a print from the user manual that mentions 1500's, 2500's, 2800's and 3000's.

Additionally, what would be the best choice for developing 120 film (both the occasional roll of film or a batch of 3 or 4)?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you.

The only relevant point of information is that you will need tanks with cog lids.
As for roller settings:

Hello,

As an owner of a venerable ATL1, I can answer your last question :

For 120 film, I use a 2523 tank with a 2502 reel (exists in black or transparent plastic) but I usually process only one 120 in it, although the 2502 reel can support two 120 films loaded one behind the other. For more than two 120 rolls, you'll have to find a 2553, which is 2,5x taller, and can take two 2502 reels with 120 setup.

As Mr from CATLabs said, you will need cog lids for using with ATL processor (1/2/2+). Cog lids are ordinarly included in 25x3 reference, but beware, sometimes, you can see also 2521 tank with cog lid, as this lid can be bought as an option (I have both). They are working the same, as long as they are complete, with the central core and light trap. There is several 252x with cog lids currently in auction at reasonable price on the *bay (not mine ). The 2553 is another story, much more scarce and sought after.

Hope this helps,

Best regards,

Raphael

P.S : Welcome to APUG !

OK, here are a few questions that pertain to a CPP2, not an ATL processor.

Is it possible to add a second roller block to CPP2's lift arm? Was ATL's lift that stronger and more durable to allow for a longer lift arm and two roller blocks?

Thanks.

You could, but that will not serve any purpose but add more friction and resistance to the motor.

The ATL's have a stronger motor, and longer lift arm bed (metal tubes). If you really want to, when using larger tanks, you can add a second roller block directly on the bottom of the tray. Thats what those ridges are for, they secure the roller block in place.

As for tanks and lids - they are all available and in stock. Originally tanks sold ending with #3 had a cog lid, and #1 for inversion lid. The cog lid adapter can be added to any current tank lid.

Thank you guys, you've been most helpful!
