Hey all,
I had a problem and i can't figure out what happened. I was developing some HP5+ in Jobo ATL1000 with Xtol 1+1. I had 12 rolls of it, all pushed to 1600ASA. Time was set to 11:30min @24ºC. I used 2500 series tank with 4 reels loaded with film and one empty. I did three batches and 10 films are OK but 2 have surge marks, one starts these marks with distinctive line on frame 27, the other has surge marks on whole film. Both of the films have a stronger base fog, one on whole film other after that line on frame 27. I can't show you examples because I've already returned the film. Both of these films where shot in the same camera, others were shot in other cameras. Films were fresh bought at the same shop, same batch, i know that because I've sent the guy to the particular shop.
To make things clear:
Batch no.1 was OK. From bottom to top Reel 1, reel 2, reel 3, reel 4, all OK, reel 5 empty
Batch no.2 problem. From bottom to top Reel 1, reel 2, reel 3, all OK ,reel 4 surge marks from frame 27, reel 5 empty
Batch no.3 problem. From bottom to top Reel 1 surge marks, reel 2, reel 3, reel 4 all OK, reel 5 empty
