JOBO ATL1000 Program failure.

Hi everyone,

I looking for some help to identify a problem with my Jobo ATL1000, wondering if anyone has had this issue also.

Out of sudden, the machine failed to continue with BW Film programs. First time it manifested the was with the 5 min black and white. I started the program and the machine inmediately pumped cointainer 1 (developer) into the tank, without rinsing first as it does with every BW program, and it never dumps developer, it just keeps rotating with developer inside.
I've stopped the machine and run a cleaning program with out problems.
I tried C41 with out problems. Then ran another BW program, 7min, and it rinsed normaly but then dumped the developer after 1 and a half minutes instead of 7...
Again, runned a cleaning program and tried with C41 and it runs normaly.
The problem is intermitent, cause I've tried 5min BW again a couple of times and it runned OK, but then after a day or so, tried once again and it failed.
Today I noticed that 11 minute BW program is being recognized as cleaning program.
Could be that this issue is cause by some sort problem with the program selection wheel?
I hope it's not the Eprom...

Any help is welome.

If the program selector is a plain rotary multiple-switch, I assume as worst failure that one step is switched twice and a next lying step is left out, and even this I consider far fetched against just leaving out a step, or maybe leaving out different steps at different actuations.
 

I've encountered a not dissimilar problem with a faulty temperature sensor on an ATL1500 and on the C-41 programme - where it would intermittently kick in before it had reached the threshold temp - but it then ran the full cycle. Just to be sure, did you check if all your chemicals and tap water were under 24oC? If it senses temps above that level on BW programmes, it'll start immediately (though it shouldn't ignore the pre-wash).
