I have a few simple questions about the ATL-3. I am trying to understand how the water jacket and rinse works. Here is how I see it working.
There are two water intakes
1) cold water tap for water jacket
2) tempered water for rinse
Water Jacket
- When I start up the machine, it fills up the water jacket with water straight from the cold tap in my sink
- it fills both the trough where the drum is placed as well as the jacket around the chemical bottles
- it does nothing to the temperature yet
- when I start a process, the machine will start to heat the water to the temperature specified in the program and it will not start until all of my chemistry is at that temperature
Rinse
- I set the temperature of the rinse water that is going into the machine, and the machine doesnt do anything to the temperature of the rinse water
Is all of that correct, i.e., is the water circulating in the jacket at the current temperature of the cold tap water?; and the machine doesnt change the temperature of the rinse water?
At this time of year, the ground water is very, very cold and it takes ages for the chemistry to get up to proper temperature (20C in my case). Is there a way to hasten this, perhaps by using a hose to put warmer water into the jacket, either in the trough, or around the chemistry bottles?
