Howdy,

As per my thread in the lounge, I have decided that I want to do the whole process at home for C-41. As I tend to get a bit anal about temperature control, I have decided to kit up my Jobo to do film.

I have a CPE2 and a modular 2000 series tank. I cannot quite remember the model number(I’m at work), but it’s a two part drum that can be used for larger prints or broken down to do test strips.

What components would I need to do film in either 135 format or 120 format? While I am happy to do one 120 at a time, it would be good to be able to do two. I would also prefer sticking with the 2000 series drums, as I don’t have the right rollers for the 1000 series drums.

Cheers

Dear hoffy,

The 251X holds 1 35mm reel, the, 252X and 255X hold 2 and 5 35mm reels respectively. The 255X will handle 6 rolls of 120 (3 of 220). The 252X will handle 2 rolls of 120 and 2 of 220. The reels have a pin by which the rolls of 120 can be separated. Personally, I've never tried to put multiple rolls of 120 on a single reel, but I'm confident it will work.

Good luck,

You will need a new top and core to use the film reels in a print tank.

I'm assuming you have the 2520/2823 (same tank, different tops) as the small base (test strip) tank. This tank will hold two reels in 35mm configuration, or 1 reel in 120 configuration (holds 2 x 120).
