The Jobo 5L bottles are probably the best for safe storage that I have ever used. I hope they still make them the same way as mine which are about 10 years old now or older.

My I ask what you use to clean them? I need to reuse some of my 1 liter bottles that originally contained a BW developer, but I am not sure how to clean them to avoid contamination. Thanks!
9-1/4" would work for my cabinets with room to spare. Thanks. I do hope the containers are just like the ones Photo Engineer bought 10 years ago, and I have some other JOBO bottles I to have to clean so I will use the wash procedure outlined as well.
Just for the record, I finally received the JOBO 5L containers, and they have a lower profile than the brown one gallon containers. They are extremely well made and well designed with good ergonomic handling and a wide rugged cap for easy pouring and filling. They are worth every penny of $14.95 I paid for them at B&H photo.
For a non-chemist type person, what kind of acid? I have found a product by Edwal for the tray cleaner. What would an alkaline rinse be? Water I was able to figure out .
I use either acetic acid or normal tray cleaner which is sulfuric acid (battery acid) with dichromate. The base is sodium hydroxide or sodium carbonate. Just make sure you wash well between acid and base treatments or the treatments will end up all over the room.
