I have a Jobo 2021 (oval) style 6 sheet 4x5 film reel and need a tank for it. I have the Jobo loader too. I've been doing some searching, but I'm having a bit of a time figuring out what tank will work with the older oval/oblong reel. I'd be happy doing just 6 sheets of 4x5 at one time so I don't really need a two reel tank and another reel if I can help it. I also have a unicolor roller base, but using the tank by hand inversion is no problem at all either. I used to have and use a CPP2 w/lift, but it took the newer tanks with cogs and that's why I know very little about the older stuff. Anybody here know what tank I should look for for my 2021 oval reel? JohnW

(full disclosure - i have nothing to do with the above listing)

This is the tank you need for the single 2021 reel, they come up in the US sometimes as well.

If you are not on a very tight budget, you will be better off selling the reel and loader and getting yourself a current 2520 and 2509 reel.

The tank that is pictured seems to be and probably is the right diameter, but I don't think it is the right height. The two reels in the picture look to be 35mm and the height of the 2021 4x5 reel is taller than the 35mm reels together. Now, I'm beginning to understand the numbers I've seen in the searches I've done. I have had the tank number #2336 come up and I'd bet it is for the 4x5 reel, but I could be wrong. I could go with the newer version, but not if I don't have to. I'm not in a big hurry, but did want to know what model tank to get so I could keep my eyes open. Oh, and my money tree doesn't seem to have very many leafs on it at this time of year for some reason. Must be dormant? JohnW

2336 is a tank for 2X 2021.
2236 is the tank for 1X 2021 (and is the same as the one in the link above).
Good luck!

Well that's the kind of information I really needed. I guess my old eyes were deceiving me on the tank size. Thanks! JohnW

I have that configuration but think I miss a part. Are the two reels supposed to sit thight fixed by the clip or to rattle up and down on the central post? My guess is I miss a ring that goes between the two reels.

In the 2336, the two reels sit at the bottom and are held in place by the clip that fits at the top of the core. Without the clip they would move during inversion by maybe 25mm or a bit less.
