I've been given some expired B&W film, most of which is Acupan 100 which I have used before and I'm pretty confident it'll be fine.

There's one roll of Jessops Pan 100 which is identified as "Made In Spain" so it pre-dates the deal Jessops had with Agfa to rebrand APX.

Does anyone know what this film is (Negra?) The expiry date is 2001. There's processing info inside the box, though as I have never shot Spanish-made film before I am wondering if anyone knows how it's likely to work 20 years after manufacture?

There is a thread on here from 2011 with some information on Jessop Pan 100, which was most likely from Valca or, perhaps, Negra. (I think that I may still have some similar film from about 2000 in my freezer).

As with all outdated film, the results depend to a great degree on the storage conditions, particularly any exposure to heat or damp, but, in principle, there's no reason why you should not get usable results from a 20 y.o. B & W film. I'd try it out.... but just not for my daughter's wedding pictures....

It's either Negra or Valca, who I think were the only two makers of emulsions in Spain. I must have negatives stored away of both and from what I recall, they were both satisfactory. Valca ceased trading in 1992. I always assumed that Valca had a tie up with Ilford because of the 125 ASA, leaving Negra with Agfa technology.
