Jessops Pan 100 and Ilfosol

Has anyone used this combination (I am amazed if they haven't) ? What developing times are best at 1 + 9 (no push).

Search for Jessop films and for Ilfosol S: 1+9 -6min; 1+14 -11min 20C.

Jessops Pan 100=Agfa APX 100. so you can use those times too...

You need to be careful with this film as there are at least 3 different versions released over the years (all by different manufacturers) the first was made in Spain, the second by Agfa and was probably Agfapan APX100 and the third version I don't know.

Thanks for the warning, this time the digital truth app was spot on . The only snag is the thin, nasty plastic it's mounted on which is really hard to handle (IMHO)

People like Jessops who offer "own brand" film frequently change suppliers which can cause a lot of confusion. To work out who made what you need to do a bit of detective work. The original Jessops Pan 100 from the late 1990's has "Made in Spain" marked on the box so it must have been made either by Negra or Valca, both of whom I assume are now defunct. The next version was called Jessops Pan 100S. On the box it says "Made in the EU", the emulsion number & expiry date imbossed on the box are in identical font & style to those used on Agfapan boxes, the emulsion number is in the Agfa series, & the plastic canister is identical to those used by Agfa (which are quite different from those used by Ilford & Kodak). So it's safe to assume this is Agfa material. Next came a version called Jessops Pan 100SX and as stated in my earlier post this is the one I have no idea who made it as I have never seen a roll. Interestingly in Jessop's on-line store they have reverted back to Pan 100S so maybe they have gone back to Agfa, but it is out of stock til after Christmas. In view of Agfaphoto's difficulties I guess we can expect type 4 anytime now! Also the 400 ISO version seems to have been discontinued.

Just to complete the picture, before the Pan 100 series, Jessops had a branded film called Jessops KB100 which was actually Efke KB17 which Jessops rated at 100 ISO rather than 40 ISO!
