It's out of stock (I'm hoping still in print?) but I've just bought Landscape Stories by Jem Southam. Can't get his work out of my head at the moment.
One of those photographers who, a few years ago, I thought "all-aesthetic, bourgeois nonsense". Strange how tastes change. I've come to understand his work requires a very different reading.
His artistic sensibility is like Andy Goldsworthy meets Dusseldorf.
I urge everyone interested in landscape to watch this lecture. Very unique and challenging thinking about this ubiquitous subject matter.
