Janson Horst, art historian from US, died in 1982 just after the second eddition of his -history of art- has been published. I used the same book as an aid for the some exams and later learning. I still remeber that it was the top recomendation on the university.
After he died his son Anthony continued the work of his father. It resulted in fifth and sixth edition of the same book.
I got oportunity to get the fifth edition (new) as exchange for some commercial family photographs, as part of the payment.

For anyone here own that fifth edition of the same book? I would like some opinions on the book quality compared to some other books on the similar matter.

I have one of the editions at home (don't know which one). I've only used it for superficial reference and I haven't read it. It's a huge book. One of it's main jobs at my house is to flatten out fiber based prints. :D
