Got a nice chrome OM2n #109xxxx in normal Ziploc bag with small bits only missing winder/motor cover handed over for parts some time in '09.

It arrived jammed with base plate off.

Inspection revealed the interlock preventing shutter release was broken and in two parts. Undo two screws and replace from parts OM2n.

Note the part is probably generic from OM1 through to OM2n.

Still would not wind on reliably cause the 1st and second gear wheels were not stopping properly aligned and we're only able to jam.

The stopping position if the second gear is controlled by the 3rd gears stop and start pin.

The third gear travels through 300 degrees and flys back. The end and start positions are controlled by a brass pin on top of the third gear which has a plastic ring spacer on it.

The OM2n was missing the spacer so had a delinquent start and finish. Pig to replace gear so I glued a bit of the ring back, while I source a small O ring to replace for an OEM repair.

Donno why the ring broke up unless the camera was trashed on motor drive.

If you have the base plate off the text should be clear.
