Yep I had some real awful cracks around the hinge pins on my Rolleiflex 3.5f door and amazingly JB Weld has sealed and strengthened the aluminum back in place!
Yep really loving this camera for well timed portraits and street shots. And feel free to share stories of DIY fixes
Amazing! That's awesome yeah I was worried when the back began to crack but then thought back to my auto mechanic days myself and figured I should give it a shot.
The patch on my engine was in a decidedly low pressure situation. The kid that had it before me bought it from a fellow that rebuilt mowers. This unit had a 4 HP Tecumseh engine that had thrown a piston rod. The rod punched a 1 inch hole in the engine case. This was essentially a crankcase, had a breather vent to ambient pressure . That mower was a Toro Whirlwind magnesium deck mower. Best mower I've ever used . Oil bath air cleaner, keep a sharp blade it would throw grass 30 feet. Decidedly unsafe in the wrong hands. The ignition failed, and I had a big rider mower when I moved to the country . I wish I had kept that machine. The deck was a cast magnesium deck . Incredible.
I just used JB Weld to reattach a cable release fitting that had broken off of the compound shutter on my 360 Tele-Xenar. At the same time repaired a wristband with it on a Fit-Bit. I always carry it when riding my dual-sport motorcycle.
