It's not just your scanner cropping - Richards Photo lab crops even more.

A lot of people are complaining that PIE xa Plus cuts a small amount from one of the horizontal film.
I just compared my old Richards Photo lab scans from long ago… I think Noritsu. It cuts at least 5 times more on all sides.
So that’s that.
