I purchased a Pentax 645 eight months ago that I have yet to adequately use. I waited nearly two years before purchasing it and studied the work of fellow photographers who use one. During this time frame, I was inspired by the work of a photographer on Flickr who uses a Pentax 645.

Last week I noticed one of his photos on a television commercial for a meal program that feeds the hungry. As a result, I e-mailed him to congratulate him on a job well done.

It turns out that he had no idea that the commercial was airing and was elated that I recognized his work and contacted him with the information. As a way of thanking me, he gave me two 220 film backs/cases in mint condition. They arrived in the mail Saturday!

In short, it pays to view the work of other photographers.

How generous of him! That was really nice. One time my husband recommended a ceramic tile contractor for a job. The man brought us a bottle of wine with a hundred dollar bill taped around it. It was right after our first or second (can't remember now) daughter was born, though the man didn't know that. It was great timing for such a nice gesture.

He told me to just pay the shipping cost's which was eight bucks and some change in his own words.

Hats off for such a gesture; the question is how many people would do something like that?
