Issue with Mamiya C33 - looks like it has the 220 back installed?

Hi All - working with a brand new to me Mamiya C33 - unfortunately on its first outing the camera which was operating very well rolled right past the 12th shot on my 120 roll, and I manually worked it into like #20 before unloading the film. To my knowledge the C33 doesnt have a switch plate like the C330, so is there a good spot to shift the counter back, or do I have to reinstall a 120 back with plate? Thanks in advance!

Yes, you change the back to switch film types. They are usually labeled on the back of the door. I notice there is a 120 back on eBay the needs cleaned up and new seals for 39.00 dollars.
If your camera already has a 120 back you have other issues.

I don't believe there was ever a factory made 220 back for the C33, over the years I've seen posts that stated a C33 had been modified to take 220, still the frame counter will only to 12. I found this on line.

I bought a Mamiya C33 on ebay. It has the original 120 back on it,
but the previous owner soldered the little trigger down that makes
the camera think it's using 220. Can I use 220 film with this 120
back on the camera; or will there be a problem? If so, what will the
problem be and what can I do about it? HELP

Thanks! Yes this was the clue to investigate - and since the back door has no marking I looked for a depressed tab - there was no metal point to push the tab in that is to the right of the door I interlock so I fiddled with that button while winding a few and looks like the position may have been stuck from disuse. Now it counts to 12 and stops so hopefully it's all it was

The C33 220 back has a big chrome stud that projects from the upper right of the door. This operates the 13-24 exposure counting. It also only works on C33 bodies with the 220 capability. Early C33 were 120 only.

The trouble with the 220 back is that it has a pressure plate fixed for the thinner 220 film. It won't like 120 film and backing paper. The later camera models went with the rotating pressure plate and either a manual or interlocked counter change.
