Hi All,

I took the risk of purchasing an isolette III from ebay that has had a cla by Jurgen a few years ago with one problem. The seller states that after sitting for an extended period, the double exposure prevention now does not allow a photo to be taken after winding. I found very little on the web about this, but I suppose the first thing to do is remove the top cover and flush with lighter fluid / put a few drops of light oil in? One person on the web stated that a top screw was "left threaded"? Is that correct and which one? Worse case scenario, are all the isolette double exposure prevention mechanisms the same and easy to swap out?

I did this camera a year ago but I don’t know what I did with the photos of the process.
Yes the screw should be the one of the winding knob.
After you get it the rest should be easy, remember the positions that everything is for mounting it back.
If I find something at home I will post it.

Done and done. Sorry I didn't take a picture (I should have). The winder underneath the top cover has two small metal tabs that stick out. These tabs are responsible for engaging the double exposure mechanism and had with time worn down / angled in. I bent them out with needle nose pliers and it's good to go.

Good. It's always satisfying when you get the job done!
