I hope not but, I'm getting concerned. I tried to order some FP4 in 120 from Calumet in Germany today. They didn't hane any but will contact their other stores and let me know. Have we finally reached the end. I'm getting nervous!

What's so special about that particular store that you can't order film from a number of other online stores (Foto Impex, Maco, Nordfoto... - all of them have 120 FP4+ in stock)?

I'm not sure we understand what you are getting at Macfred. The store has FP4+ 120 in stock. It is in stock everywhere else that I usually shop. Ilford also hasn't announced anything regarding film production so I would expect that restocks will be coming. Film has gotten more popular lately so there may be more demand than what supply can handle currently.

The only thing that I would be concerned is the end is Fuji Color film with all there discontinuations, black and white is going strong however.

I've just sent an email to Ilford to check the production status of FP4.

Maybe they are not a Photrio partner at all ...
That was not a malicious intention - but they should be one...
Nothing wrong or malicious in what you said macfred as far as I can see and I don't think that cirwin2010 meant that it was, surely? All you were doing was pointing out that if the store Ralph said had no stock in Germany then another store namely Photoimpex has got it

Perhaps he was addressing Ralph but got you and him mixed up

Why? Can you not purchase their film in Canada?

We can purchase all kinds of things here in Canada which are no longer in production. Someone was selling a stock Model T awhile back... Current/Future production does not directly relate to current sales availability...

Please stop these clickbaity, doomsday delight BS threads.
They are irritating, tiring and ultimately damaging to the whole field.

LOL... must be a "German thing". In other news this morning: 'ROME (AP) — Retired Pope Benedict XVI has said he hopes to soon join a beloved professor friend in “the afterlife,” in a sign that the 94-year-old pontiff is not only accepting his eventual death but welcoming it." tomorrow's news: Retired photographer, Ralph, has said he hopes to soon join a beloved favorite film in “the afterlife,” in a sign that the elderly photographer is not only accepting his eventual death but welcoming it."

Just joking, Ralph I wish you a very long and prosperous mortal life!

We've received a request to move this to the "Doom and Gloom" part of the Soapbox. For now we won't do that, if only because of the included information about where the film is available.

The policy here on Photrio is to move unsubstantiated rumours of product discontinuation to that sub-forum.

Calumet listed it as in stock on their website too.

Perhaps they don't have it in that particular store, but they do have it in the system.

FP4+ and HP5+ are in stock in 120 and 135 but you are limited to buying 20 or 10 rolls (for 120 and 135 respectively). Well, in the UK are quite some logistic problems. After the Brexit Rumanian, Polish and Lithuanian truckers can't work in the UK anymore, hence there is a huge shortage in truck drivers.
