Is this plausible? Might be a hoax.

Came across this site claiming to be from some guy who discovered a trove of negs a la John Maloof of Vivian Maier fame. Not sure what to think. http://www.jacqueslegarephotographictrust.com

Why not? If it is a hoax somebody went to a lot of work. One would have to look into the people involved plus find somebody who knew him in New York or whatever at that time.
