It makes no sense, and I can't explain it at all, but somehow this product never caught my imagination. I love paper negatives, and making contact prints through paper, and pinhole, and one of the reasons I like FP-100c is that the finished result is made by light at the time of exposure. All those things should make DPP exciting to me, but the only thing I'm really interested in trying with it is making enlarged paper negatives from film. And even that I'm a lukewarm about because using an inter-positive loses amazingly little quality and allows great control over contrast and scale.
I put this comment over here in this side-thread 'cause I don't want to project anything negative. I'm glad this product is back for everyone who wants it, and it's great that Ilford is so responsive to its customers. It's great news. And maybe a light will come on someday and I'll give it a try!
