Thanks for all the replies, learned more then I thought I would about the old roll of film. I'll just keep it around to use as a prop for old camera gear studio type shooting. Here's one darkroom print with it in center of frame.

I think that Kodak made 116 or 616 up until the early 90's. A shame for me as a friend of mine in NZ inherited his grandfathers Kodak autographic folder, cannot remember the model. As this was in the mid '80s I assumed that this film would have been long discountued and we didn't attempt to use the camera.

No internet and APUG in those days and I just didn't check with photo dealers as to film availability. Bugger. Opportunity lost.

Ilford's sold me new 70mm film to roll up on recycled 116/616 backing paper. When I get around to doing it. My 616 camera to use has new bellows and was CLA. I have managed to set up a 45H enlarger to project the negatives. Antonewton glass carrier was fitted with some cut film masks to block the light longways.
Yea, I think medium format is anything under 4x5.
