Heck for that price, buy it and then if it does not suit your needs sell it here.

looks homemade. But cool

I came across this link in Albuquerque for sale. It looks like an 8x10 enlarger possibly due to its massive size. Anyone got any ideas? The seller isnt sure. https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/1150900911749878/
That ain't no 8x10. Not by a long shot. What "massive size"? That's puny little thing, probably a 2 1/4 maybe. Somebody laid a piece of junk enlarger on its back and shot a picture of it. If any so-called massiveness in infered by that, then that's all there is. I wouldn't give that idea another thought. Look at the size of the focus knob. It's just a hand knob. Then start visualizing proportions based on that, if by no other method. 8x10? No way.

Turns out, the fence behind it was fooling me into the perception of scale. I thought it was like 4 feet tall. It's only 19" with the bellows fully extended. Its got a perfex 75mm 4.5 which is most likely a medium format enlarging lens based on some googling. I told the seller its basically worthless. Thanks for the help on this one!

It looks like a Testrite enlarger to me--they made enlargers up to 4x5, though this might be one of their medium format ones.

Would you maybe believe 4x5, perhaps 2 1/4 x 3 1/4. Camera angle makes it look larger than it probably is. It looks as if it might be a Dejur but I can't be sure. If it is and is usable in its current condition, it is not junk. Taking a long second look at it, I would leave it alone. That "C-clamp is a bad sign, Sorry!.....Regards!

It "is" a Testrite enlarger. With the 75mm lens it is probably one of their medium format enlargers. Small chance it is their 4x5 enlarger. It looks clean but what is the C-clamp doing? And where is the baseboard? They are not junk but are very basic and are useable if one learns how to work around their various quirks. But they are no match for today's rather full featured equipment. Howard

The C-clamp should be no problem. A bolt and nut likely could replace it. However, it is a Testrite enlarger. They are flimsy. I have a 4x5 Testrite that is free for anyone who wants to pick it up here in Missouri. Otherwise, it goes to a ditch.

When I was a kid I used to browse and dream of putting together a darkroom and some lighting looking through the Testrite catalog. It was the cheapest stuff you could buy and did not have a great reputation. Paper route money wasn’t going to buy the good stuff. Fortunately I found a decent used Durst and never had anything from Testrite. What I did see in person were really flimsy products.
