Is there any "Charcater" to MF Nikkor lenses?

I agree w/ darkosaric. Love my early model H 50 2 lens. I mean, it's really, really good.

One thing about most Nikon lenses, they have lots of contrast (not the H Nikon, it's low contrast). I have some nice pics made from some that are very much to my liking.

I could show lots of examples of the same scene shot w/ different lenses that exhibit totally different IQ. It's generally what I do when deciding on which lens to keep. I buy several lenses at once of the same focal length and do a shootout, which is a real PITA taking lenses off and on, keeping notes, etc. However, it's the only way I've seen that will tell the tale for sure about which lens is the keeper. But, I won't. I've been baited before on this sort of thing. All I can say is that some people see the differences, and some don't.

you would be surprised that quite a few people who use lomo / lofi cameras know
a formidable amount about the craft and art of photography. it's not all as you have stated ..
the people I know who use these devices are probably better versed in photography than the majority of the people who
are on this website. ...

to each their own as they say
if everyone were the same life would be really boring

Giggle. Yes, IMO, plastic cameras are grand actually.

Snapguy, life and love are messy things that regularly change with the phase of the moon and temperature outside. They are low precision activities that have endless opportunities for failure and success, and I wouldn't trade them for the alternatives.

One of my trips to Italy: I had M6 + summicron 50 and Holga (or Diana - not sure):
