Is the Rolleiflex T the only TLR that ...

... has just one lever that just sets the EV (combination of aperture and shutter) and when pulled it becomes decoupled and sets just the shutter (at least that is what I remember)

I owned the T for 2 years (and sold it to get Mamiya 6) and even after 2 years I keep thinking of it - I know that there is a TLR in the future.

But the point is - I really liked the way the setting of shutter and aperture was done - when I was using my Digisix meter I would just read the EV, set it on the camera and only then adjust the shutter/aperture combination. Very fast and fool proof.

When I look at the pictures of the 2.8F or 3.5F or the GX, FX - it seems that there are just to separate dials for shutter and aperture respectively. Are they?

From the picture it seems like Minolta Autocord could be similar in operation to Rolleiflex T ... is it?

Some automats from the 50's have shutter speed and aperture dials that can be linked or independent with a turn of a center button on one of the dials. Another automat style has both dials linked, but they become temporarily independent while a spring-loaded button on one of the dials is depressed.

The late Rolleicords (Va and Vb, I think) also have the facility to link shutter and aperture dials and to set the EV on a scale on the right side of the camera with the aperture dial if linked.

I have the T with the EV system and do not care for it at all. I understand the interlock can be disabled and when I get it cla'd, I'll have the mod done. I like the dual dial setup such as the Automats used.

Rolleiflex E and F have the linked EV control that can be discoupled if you wish.

My Rolleicord Vb does not have a linked EV. It is a feature on the high end models. Rolleicords have only the fundamental features. Nothing fancy.

Yes my VB is linked as well. A simple push of a lever seperates the two so it's no big deal to me.

I am also surprised to hear that It is the "E" models that have the EV setup. There are no EV markings and no shutter-aperture coupling on the "F" models.

No coupling with my Autocord. But my Rolleicord V is EV coupled. It cannot be decoupled by any other mean than by holding the other lever by hand.

CORRECTION: My ROLLICORD Vb does have a coupling so the EV can be set and the f stop/shutter speed can be varied and the EV remains the same.

To the best of my experience with Minolta Autocords, there was never a coupled lever system like the Rolleiflex T. The Autocord did have a 'Light Value System' where a meter would give you a number and the front of the camera gave you numbers. If the meter said '10,' you set the aperture and shutter so that they ADDED UP to 10. Something like that (gee, what a pain; never used it myself).

Late Autocords with CdS meters had a coupled meter system, I believe. I have never seen one of these and do not know if the levers are coupled. I have seen non-metered (and early selenium metered) Autocords from beginning to end of the their production, and no coupling.
