Is tea toning archival??

I've been searching the web for a while now to see if toning B&W fiber prints in tea considered archival. There's not much help out there. Does anyone know?? Thanks!

It's not considered archival for B&W silver prints. It is for cyanotypes where it produces ferric tannate.

tannins kill lots of microbial beasties or at least retard their action, which is why leaves full of tannins take so long to rot! Maybe helps not against tarnishing etc but fungal attack etc. Mind you, fungae should not be an issue if stored in half reasonable conditions.
