The shoe mugging thing was out of a Sex and the City TV episode when the Carrie Bradshaw character was mugged of her expensive Blahnik pumps down the street from her NYC apartment. I am just sceptical. Was he wearing Jordans?

I have not read all 21 pages.
I went to SF ten years ago and it was foggy and dreary. Much more memorable was driving down the coast... Dunes, Farmland, Monterey, Carmel, Point Lobos, Bixby Bridge, etc..The shoreline and ocean views are insane. If going again, I'd check and see if anything is happening at Laguna Seca racetrack too.

Last year I was in Chicago with my Rolleiflex. Everyone was kind and no trouble at all. Physical body size and paying attention to surroundings helps a bit at that of course.

Fog is for mood photographs and fog moving into or out of parts of the city or its bridges.

Speaking of food and San Francisco, when I get out there I like going to Oren’s Israeli restaurants either in The City (SoMa) or in Palo Alto. Wonderful stuff. There is nothing close to that In Montana, except at my house. ;-)

We’re at Oren’s right now, excellent, thanks for the recommendation.
