Plus X is back on Kodaks website. And for sale in some places. Did it return as 135?

You should feel bad for all the people's hopes that you will get up from reading the title of this thread

Please post the link to the Kodak site you are referring to.

Why post this stuff, Zewrak? The cine version was cut in mid-2010(always ominous news); Plus X 120 went in late 2010/early 2011; may still be old 35mm stock or 100' but not new stock. Gone.

Why? Probably because he's genuinely curious and hopeful. Sheesh. I mean, granted, I think the odds are pretty much nil, but everyone may not have gotten the word.

Then I guess he's not been doing much film shopping over the last 2 years, right?

Hear, hear, Roger.

Pretty sure Zewrak was curious ... and unaware that he would be scolded for his curiosity.

If I looked at Kodak's site and saw Plus-X advertised as it is on this link, I would assume that it was a current product. Just as I would when looking at the website for any manufacturer of any product.

Maybe he should have been "curiouser" and looked a little deeper?

Honestly speaking, when this film PlusX was discontinued i never felt sorry, it is 125ASA film, at this speed FP4+ is my favorite, and i had PlusX and did one roll, was really nice but it didn't show much improvement to my eyes over FP4, so i never worried when it is gone, and seems it wasn't that much popular so Kodak dumped it.

I cried. Then I went out and got about 25 rolls in 120 and about 50 rolls in 35mm. I adore Plus-X.

If Plus-X was a woman I would marry her. :D

I would name my daughter Plus-X (except her name is already Katie and she won't let me change it)

Hm, yes. Strange isn't it. When you go there from europe you get redirected to the EU site. Which seem to keep different information. I'm sure thats why the whole discussion started.

Thanks for your grandmotherly help in the matter.

LOL - same here
I have not seen another film that I like as much as Plus-X (well, maybe Neopan 1600, but they are quite different animals).

Does anyone actually know if PX was *actually* removed from that page? I'm thinking it's not a return of any sorts....

Which was done and led them to kodaks official site that listed it under current products. And since Kodak listed it on their own site as a current product and it is in stock in one if the bigger photographic shops in Sweden. People started to wonder, why a prevoiusly removed product was back on tge manufacturers site.

But ofcourse, if there is an answer anywhere, the question should never be asked.

I shall smear myself in dung and run naked thru the crowds of the whiparmed villagers, for thinking that Kodak had unclear information on their sites.

I'd call that a good start. Don't forget to post it on YouTube, either.

not me,
i like/liked plus x, and found it to be a much better film than any of its tab grained cousins ( my, mx )
forgiving, works well in a variety of developers ( yadda yadda yadda )

i wouldn't doubt it if koduck brought plus x back but charged like 12$/roll for it.
that is kind of what they are doing with their sheet films.

I would doubt it. I'll offer ten to one odds that they laid off the only people who really knew the tricks to make it come out right, so it would cost them a fortune to get it going again.

I love Plus-X as much as the next guy. I too have a stash in the freezer. But I'm afraid I'd suffocate if I held my breath waiting for its return. And I'm over the crying.
