I recently bought a Kodak 2d that had a dusty Goerz Dagor 10 3/4" in a compound shutter with a frozen piston. I little liquid wrench and a gentle tap on the piston and the compound works wonderfully. The lens cleaned up with no haze scratches or cleaning marks and the glass is near perfect--amazing considering how it looked to start. The serial # is 757406 and from research here on apug and other sites, it looks like coating the lenses started in the 77,xxx range. One of the reflections in the lens has a noticeable color shift (an incandescent bulb appears bluish white). Is there a simple way to determine if it’s coated?

Your Dagor is not factory coated but it is possible that someone who liked the lens enough went ahead and had an aftermarket coating done.
It is easy to determine if a Dagor is coated, the bluish tint is quite strong even it is just a single coating.
It is also my impression that coating started at 77.xxxx

An uncoated Dagor like yours is still a great performer and is not lacking in the contrast department due to only 4 glass to air surfaces.
Enjoy the lens.

One of the finest prints I've ever made could only have come from a negative made with my uncoated 12" Dagor. It has detail and a glow in the lower zones 3-4 which I'm sure wouldn't be there if I had used my Red Dot Artar, which is coated. For that one particular picture the lack of coating was actually an unfair advantage.
