As I troll the depths of my photoaccumulation I am finding some items whose value I am seriously doubting. Would the photopowers take offense if I simply discarded items such as this large but old and tatty Kodak ad?

Thanks,

Jon

If you have some old ad pieces, I will gladly take them off your hands. I can scan them and use them for collage work for school. I had considered buying some at a flea market here in town, but they want 10.00-20.00 per page for them. For some reason...

Give them away in the classifieds here, do a good deed. I hate to see stuff like that wind up in the trash, but I'm like that. There's some old tatty maps from 1897 in my bedroom.

old Kodak Ad

I have a few old box Kodaks of little value (except the 0s & 00s) but this would look good in the back of the glass case. I have some VPK ads in with my VPKs.

I'll pay you postage and a little for the hassle factor to ship it to me instead of throwing it in the can. (Unless you live in Lower Elbonia)

Packrats of the world unite (and share). It's amazing what some people (me for instance) will keep. But, in this case, I'll say that I have enough of my own flotsam and jetsam to want yours. The next bit though...

Hi there - wow, I was surprised by the outpouring of sympathy for this item! If you can give me your address I will send it along to you. Once sent, I will let you know the postage. I am in Massachusetts, by the way.

Being a bit of a photo antiquity myself after more than fifty years photography, I don't relish the idea of spending the rest of my existence on a landfill.

I have an old Graflok roll film adapter for 4x5 that is, like, 1,500 years old. I know I will never that capacity to use it. I have had ot for a year and I don't see it leaving anytime soon. Yeah, it's OK to toss unneededs. Good luck trying to carry through with it.

I find that I feel the need to rescue things from the dumpster. Hence, the 8x10 Century No. 7 studio camera on it's stand in my living room. :D The lights that came with it are in a different room. One of the lights plugs into a lens board and is usable with the camera, though I haven't figured out how to use it properly.

I also have some old Kodak ads, one of which is for IR film during WWII (I think).

The answer is NO!

packrats of the world unite - don't throw them out...

p.s. you can always find another wife, this is one-of-a-kind!!!!

Amen, amen, AMEN, AMEN, AMEN!

The next wife will be a new model with lower mileage!

Right, more plastic, airbags and more expensive service bills

No, better sprung suspension. Fewer dings. Well lubricated.

Curious... could this be a means of converting the camera into a projector or enlarger? I have heard of an adapter for large format cameras to make enlargers out of them but I've never seen one.
