Is it a "waste" to buy an RB67 waist-level finder for an RZ67 Pro?

Like the flying camera stated, I don't think the rb and rz finders are compatible.
 
It should fit, although there is a warning in the RZ Pro manual about covering the electronic connector pins if using the RB prism.

Actually, to the best of my knowledge, they are. Of course you will lose AE metering on the RZ if you had an AE prism finder on it. The camera label is on the finder, usually. That means your RZ will look as if it is an RB!
 
I think you have to file down a pin to get an RZ finder to fit an RB.

RZ finders are better, lighter, more compatible, easy to find and cheap, and offer AE / metering / etc. Why bother with an RB finder?
 
Update On RZ67/RB67 Waist-Level Finder

Thank you to everyone for your replies. So I bought an RB67 waist-level finder and tried putting it on my RZ67 body (my camera came with a Prism Finder that is metered, and I wanted another option because there may be times when I want more portability. Anyway, the finder didn't fit. There are no buttons on the RB finder like on the RZ finder, so you would have to do some filing down of either the pins or the tabs that slide into the rear 2 slots, and this would make it fit too loose. So, I bought a used RZ finder and am waiting for that to come. By the way, I really love the aesthetics of the waist-level finder. I think it is beautiful in it's simplicity!

I think the WLF does give one the option of shooting from lower angles, too, and if shooting from the hip is an option with such a large and heavy camera, this is the closest you'll get to it . I have found that people subjects react differently to the WLF compared to an eye level prism finder. It is as if they find it intriguing, and the facial expressions are therefore often more interesting.
 
My RZ finder doesn't function but I use it when shooting high when I can't see the wait level finder so if that's all you need then why not.
