I've been following the f32 larger format forum for some time. That list was fairly active until about a month ago when all activity appears to have ceased with no announcement or warning.

Anyone know what is going on?

Hi

E-mailed Graeme yesterday and he informed me Mark and himself are working on a new website, which should go live in two or three weeks.

Regards Charles

Search for a thread with "lost forum" in the title for some of the details.

Possibly dead, but not yet forgotten. Some plans are under way, that's all I can say now.

The f32 site administered by C.W. has been without life long enough that I'd pronounce it dead. I say forgotten because I have put the disappointment behind me and am looking forward to what Graeme etal. come up with.

RIP f32.net

On 18/11/2005, the life support system for the forum at f32.net was switched off by persons unknown. Concerned relatives suspect the cleaner knocked the plug out whilst vacuuming under the bed. The moderator (that's me) rushed in to check for a pulse though none was found anywhere on the lifeless corpse. It seems the body had been starved of sustenance for too long and had been withering away quietly for many months. The brain was the first organ to show signs of weakness .....

Some of us flogged the horse for a few days, but we have now given up due to the total lack of response from the erstwhile head of the body.

The good news is that the remaining organs are still kicking and keen to be implanted into a new body. (Guess which organ I am?) I would like to think we'll be able to improve the brain on this new body ....

Organ donors (f32 members) will be informed via email, since the new forum will start as an "invitation only" forum. We would like to maintain the small and personal nature the forum had. If you were a contributor to f32.net and would like to be informed when the new one is up and running, send Brock an email on f32.net@gmail.com. From there, the former members of f32 will be able to invite their online photographer friends (whether they be LFers or using lesser formats) to join.

We expect to be hooking up the chest wires and yelling "CLEAR!" before Christmas ....

Cheers,
Graeme
