I'm thinking of buying the 90mm f:4 APO-Symmar for my Rollei 6008af. Is anybody shooting this lens?

Is this really "the best" lens in medium format? What does the best mean? How hard is it to focus an f:4 lens? I shoot wide open a lot. How is it wide open? Bokeh? I'm currently shooting the 80mm f:2.8 Xenotar.

Can’t say that until someone has scientifically tested all MF lenses… but it is very, very good and very lightweight! Longer than the AF(D) Xenotar if it comes to fitting into a small bag though. Focusing isn’t hard and the focus indicator can also help.
Now if you want to use it mostly for macro work, I would not know if that is the lens I would advise you or if I’d rather direct you to the vario extension ring and the reversing adapter to use with the AF(D) Xenotar while keeping AF functionality. Both would be good solutions depending on the object to camera distance.
