The subject says it all ! it is a debate question and wondering the opinion of the experts that have seen both type of prints ? I have seen lightjet prints and I think they are wonderful, but I have not seen a chromira print.

I have one image I printed originally on Lightjet and then reprinted on Chromira with the same lab (West Coast Imaging), and I'd say they were both excellent, but I had a slight preference for the Lightjet. Had I not done a side-by-side comparison, I don't think I would have seen a difference, and I don't have them in front of me to recall exactly what the issue was, but as I recall, it was a landscape, and I think I thought the texture in the sky was smoother in the Lightjet.

Unless you have done the same print yourself on both of them I don't think comparisons are useful. One might suggest that one printer has a yellow or cyan tint - I hear this a lot. This is something that probably could be adjusted with a 1-2 point adjustment in PhotoShop. Yet, people keep making these judgements. It doesn't make any sense.

You can compare resolution with line pairs, you can talk about color spaces, paper surfaces. All of these can't compete with a good human at the controls, and enough iterations to get it just how you want it.

I also think use the word best in a thread is just inviting people to argue with each other. There is no such thing.
